Manchester City extended their unbeaten run across all competitions to 19 games with a dominant derby win against Manchester United on Sunday in the English Premier League (EPL). After making a comeback from a goal behind in the first half, the defending EPL champions also extended their winning run to four games while star striker Erling Haaland made it to the scoresheet and delighted the home fans with his goal celebration.

Marcus Rashford gave an early lead to the Red Devils as he found the back of the net in the 8th minute. The visiting side maintained the lead through the first half, however, Phil Foden broke the deadlock for the Citizens in the 56th minute and scored another goal to take the lead in the 80th minute.

City's star striker Erling Haaland doubled the lead for his side in the 90+1st minute and delighted the fans at the Etihad Stadium with his goal celebration. As the Norwegian hit the final nail in the coffin to seal Man City's victory over city-rivals Man United, the home crowd went berserk and hit the Poznan dance, where they jumped jubilantly with their back towards the field. The 23-year-old Haaland joined the home crowd and did the Poznan dance.

Man City 3-0 Man United

After winning the game against Man United, the defending Premier League champions closed the gap to one point behind the league toppers Liverpool. Man City were an absolute dominating force against the Red Devils as the home side led the visitors in every aspect of the game with 73 per cent possession, 27 shot attempts to three shots, and 91 per cent pass accuracy.

On the other hand, Manchester United lost their back-to-back Premier League fixtures as they lost 1-2 to Fulham at Old Trafford on Saturday followed by their 3-1 loss against the City. Man United are scheduled to host Everton on Saturday, March 9 in the Premier League while Man City will host Copenhagen for their Champions League Round of 16 second leg on Wednesday night before travelling to Anfield on Sunday, March 10, to face Liverpool.
