Frank Lampard’s Everton is not having their best season. The side has so far only scored 11 goals in their 14 Premier League outings. The Toffees once again fell against the newly promoted outfit with a 0-3 defeat on Saturday, four days after their 4-1 defeat at the Vitality Stadium in Carabao Cup.

It wasn’t just this defeat that grabbed the attention, but a lot of drama took the limelight. On one side it was goalkeeper Jordan Pickford who got into a heated exchange with a fan, Alex Iwobi also had his own moment. The Nigerian footballer gave his shirt to the supporters in the stands as he walked back after the final whistle.

But in no time, the supporters backfired by throwing the shirt back at him following the team’s humiliating defeat against Bournemouth. It wasn’t just Iwobi then, but even Jordan Pickford got involved in an exchange with the manager Frank Lampard coming in to diffuse things.

“I wasn’t going over there to comfort the players. There was a misunderstanding, Alex had some friends that he was concerned about that were at the front of the fans. There’s nothing in it”, he said.

Notably, Everton will next face Wolves on December 26 before playing against Manchester City on December 31.
