In Match 15 of the Indian Premier league (IPL) 2024, the Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are taking on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Earlier in the match it was the home side who won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first.
While the opening pair of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock gave a good start before the LSG skipper departed after having scored 20 runs. But a 56-ball 81 from wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock and an unbeaten 40 off 21 balls from Nicholas Pooran, helped the side put 181 runs.
Young sensation, Devdutt Padikkal once again failed to impress with the bat, Ayush Badoni also departed on three-ball duck. With the RCB skipper reintroducing Yash Dayal to bowl his final spell and the 18th over of the LSG inning, he got his maiden scalp of the match in Ayush Badoni, courtesy a brilliant catch from the skipper.
Dayal opted to go with a slower ball to finish his spell and the batter in Badoni slapped the ball over extra cover. Faf attempted to run back and completed a dive to collect the ball with both hands and give Dayal his first success in the match.

Speaking about the match, the LSG put up 181 runs at the loss of five wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.
