Century knocks from Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja, along with a gritty 90 from KL Rahul helped India chase the 311-run lead and further add 114 runs on the board with six wickets remaining. While the fifth day not only saw centuries coming from the trio’s bat, but also saw some things heat up in the middle as the Indian all-rounder pair neared their respective centuries.

Amidst all this action on the field, an incident from the stands also caught the eyeballs. In the videos going viral from the Old Trafford, a fan was spotted flaunting Pakistan jersey during the fourth Test match in Manchester, sparking a new controversy. While he was approached by one of the officials of the Lancashire, who asked him to remove or cover it.
The incident sparked chaos in the stands, grabbing attention of other spectators, some of whom began filming the exchange. While the fan asserted that no Indian supporters around him had taken the issue, but it gained traction with additional security personnel and local police arriving at the moment. While the individual was briefly escorted out of the seating area, he was later permitted to return.

Notably, this comes opposite to the venue regulations permitted at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. As per the regulations, “Only flags, clothing and banners related to the England or India cricket teams are permitted in the stadium - any items that do not comply with this must be removed and will not be allowed to enter the Stadium.”
