The Miami Heat forward, Jimmy Butler, currently on a promotional tour to China, has revealed on social media that a fan hit him in the face with a shoe in the city of Taiyuan. The 33-year-old jokingly called it his favorite part of the visit to the Eastern Asia country, on July 19, Wednesday.
In 2022, the six-time All-Star struck a deal with the Chinese shoe brand Li-Ning, after leaving the sought-after Jordan brand. To promote the cause, he has been in China since last Friday, launching his “Eastern Journey” campaign in Beijing, before shifting base to Taiyuan.

During “the unexpected tour,” as Jimmy Butler likes to call it, he is rubbing shoulders with the fans, signing autographs, giving away free t-shirts, watching basketball, and taking a hit on the tennis court, among other things. He is also making daily posts on Instagram, containing pictures and videos of what he has been up to in the country.
In one such post, he was quoted as saying, “Man, what an unreal experience. First of all, besides getting hit in the face with a shoe, which was probably my favourite part of the whole thing.”

During his China tour, Jimmy Butler has been giving many interviews in which he has made a prediction about being a one-time NBA champion, the next time he visits the country. He was quoted as saying, “I believe that with all my heart, that we, I, will win a Championship for the Heat because I don't plan on playing for another NBA team. The next time I'm talking to y'all here, I'll be a one-time NBA champion.”
