In a rather bizarre incident during an International League T20 match, a fan was seen running away with the ball after it landed on the road outside Sharjah Cricket Stadium. During a match between MI Emirates and Desert Vipers, there were two such instances when the ball landed on the road outside the stadium. While on one instance the fan picked up the ball and threw it back, in the other instance, the guy picked up the ball and ran away with it.

The second instance took place during the 18th over of MI Emirates’ innings when Vipers’ Matheesha Pathirana was bowling. On the third ball of the over, Dan Mousley creamed a lofted shot and hit the ball out of the stadium onto the streets. A young fan then came running to pick the ball up. While usually, fans throw the ball back in, this young lad picked it up and ran away.

A few balls later, Emirates’ captain Kieron Pollard also hit a monstrous six that landed on the streets. But this time, a fan picked the ball up and threw it back into the stadium. The video of the two incidents was shared on social media while seeking fans' answers on which category they belong to.

Coming to the match, it was a one-sided game in the favour of MI Emirates. The Kieron Pollard-led team beat Desert Vipers by 157 runs. After posting a mammoth 241/3 in their designated 20 overs, the Emirates bundled the Vipers for 84. Fazalhaq Farooqi starred for the Emirates with the ball in hand, picking up three wickets in his three overs.

Earlier, Muhammad Waseem (86 off 44), Andre Fletcher (50 off 39), Kieron Pollard (50* off 19), and Dan Mousley (33* off 17) put on a run fest for MI Emirates.
