Dinesh Karthik has been in great form in IPL 2022. The wicketkeeper-batter has been playing the role of a finisher to perfection on more occasions than otherwise in this season of the tournament and riding on these opportunities DK has even earned himself an India recall for the T20I series against South Africa owing to his consistent shows.

However, Bangalore and DK would now have to put past success behind him as they are playing the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. With none of their star batters Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis firing in the big game, the onus is once again on Karthik to help his team finish strong and reach a respectable total.

Karthik even seems to have a bit of luck by his side as his catch was dropped in the 5th ball of the 15th over from the otherwise brilliant in-the-field Lucknow captain KL Rahul. The reaction of team mentor Gautam Gambhir has gone viral as his expression can be seen changing from ecstatic to disappointed as the ball pops out of Rahul's hands.
