The third match of the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) took place on Saturday. KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) took on David Warner’s Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. DC’s David Warner won the toss and decided to bowl first. Meanwhile, LSG batters, especially Kyle Mayers wreaked havoc on DC bowlers, accumulating runs at a quick pace. 

After Mayers departed, Nicholas Pooran also played a brisk inning. However, Khaleel Ahmed stopped the carnage from the West Indian. But Pooran had scored plenty of sixes already. His last maximum came on the first ball of the 19th over of LSG’s innings when the southpaw tonked Ahmed over deep extra cover. 

As Pooran nailed his shot, the ground staff sitting at the boundary ropes took a good catch to impress the fans. The guy nailed a reverse cup catch to leave everyone impressed.

Talking about the result of the match, Lucknow Super Giants registered a comprehensive victory as they beat DC by 50 runs. Mark Wood stole the show for LSG with the ball as the English pacer picked five wickets in his four overs. Wood got rid of Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Sarfaraz Khan, Axar Patel, and Chetan Sakariya. 

Meanwhile, Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi got two wickets each.
