Glenn Maxwell bowled some tight lines in his team’s game against Gujarat Titans (GT). The off-spinner was keeping the batters quite with his disciplined bowling. He also got a wicket in the form of Matthew Wade. Although it was a controversial decision, Maxwell had done well to deceive the batter.

After that wicket, Maxwell continued his good bowling. He almost got Hardik Pandya with a loopy delivery but the catch was dropped at boundary ropes. In the same over, Maxwell outfoxed Hardik Pandya with a straighter delivery. The batter tried to heave the bowler for a maximum but missed the line completely and was beaten.

Pandya may have failed to deposit the ball into the stands, he certainly almost sent his bat flying. While the batter tried to hit the ball with brute force, the bat slipped out of his hand and went flying towards the leg umpire.

Pandya scores a half-century!

After starting the tournament on a high, Hardik Pandya went through a slump with the bat as the batter only managed 56 runs in 6 innings before this game against RCB. However, the batter redeemed himself with a well-calculated half-century. Pandya went back to the pavilion with an unbeaten 62 off 47 balls against his name. He hit four boundaries and three sixes in his innings.

The Gujarat captain did struggle in the middle but he battled through and played till the end. Pandya also got a reprieve when he was dropped by Suyash Prabhudesai near the boundary ropes off the bowling of Glenn Maxwell. Nonetheless, the batter made the opportunity count and helped his team reach a respectable total of 168/5.

Pandy was well-aided by Rashid Khan at the fag end as the duo stitched a 36-run partnership in just 15 balls. Khan scored 19* off 6 balls with the help of one four and two sixes.
