England’s Harry Brook showed a brilliant display of athleticism in match number 3 of The Hundred 2025. Playing against Welsh Fire at Headingley, Leeds, the Northern Superchargers skipper ended up taking a stunning diving catch to end Saif Zaib’s innings. Northern Superchargers started their The Hundred 2025 campaign with a two-wicket win over Welsh Fire on Friday, August 8.

During the 18th over of Welsh Fire’s innings, Saif Zaib attempted a big shot against Ima Wasim but couldn’t time it well and just crossed the 30-yard mark with Harry Brook chasing the ball. In the end, Brook made a great dive to complete a spectacular catch. Zaib got out after scoring 13 runs off 10 balls as Welsh Fire lost their seventh wicket.

Talking about the match, batting first, Welsh Fire posted a total of 143 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Jonny Bairstow top scored with 42(23) runs while Steve Smith also contributed with 29(18) runs. For Northern Superchargers, Matthew Potts, Adil Rashid and Imad Wasim took two wickets each while Tom Lawes and Mohammed Amir sclaped a wicket each.

Chasing the winning target, Zak Crawley turned out to be match-winner for Northern Superchargers with his knock of 67*(38) runs. He put up an opening partnership of 91 runs with Dawid Malan who got out after scoring 41 runs of 29 balls. Crawley remained unbeaten on 67 runs hitting five fours and two sixes while skipper Harry Brook gave finishing touches with 25*(15) runs as the Superchargers chased the winning target with 11 balls remaining losing two wickets.
