Pakistan cricketer Hasan Ali has found himself in news for using infamous catchphrase ‘King kar lega’. The 30-year-old, who is currently plying his trade for the Karachi Kings in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, starred in his team’s match against the Lahore Qalandars on Tuesday, April 15, picking a four-fer with the ball and adding crucial 27 runs with the bat. However, his efforts went in vain as Kings lost by 65-run margin.
With his team’s defeat in PSL 2025, they slipped to fourth place in the points table. After his all-round efforts, he appeared in the post-match press conference and caught eyeballs for using the infamous phrase, thus putting in faith and backing Babar Azam.

Speaking at the post-match presser, Hasan Ali was asked about the “King kar lega” statement to which he quickly replied, "I’ve reached a point in my career and life where trolling doesn’t bother me anymore. We called him [Babar] ‘King’ and stood behind him.”
The Pakistan cricketer, however apologised fans and his Pakistan teammate for this, but reaffirmed his faith in the top-order batter to bounce back soon. “If people think saying ‘King Kar Lega’ was a mistake, then I apologize to all fans, including Babar. My stance hasn’t changed he is still Pakistan’s best. He was the best, is the best, and will bounce back soon. Everyone goes through tough times,” Ali added.

It is to be seen that ever since the statement came into usage, fans believe that Babar Azam’s form has taken a dip. Speaking of Kings’ last match, the right-arm pacer looked in supreme touch, picking up four wickets and joined Wahab Riaz in the elite list of PSL’s all-time wicket-takers. The two pacers now have 113 wickets each to their name in the tournament’s history.
