Ahead of their Asia Cup 2022 opening match against each other, India and Pakistan both faced a major setback as their dependable pacers, Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Shah Afridi are set to miss the continental tournament due to injuries. However, the mutual respect between the players from the two political rival countries is commendable.

Ahead of India-Pakistan match on August 28 in the Asia Cup 2022, the players from both teams are sweating it out on the training grounds to prepare for the continental showpiece. Meanwhile, the Indian players have shown a heartfelt gesture as they met the injured Pakistani pacer, Shaheen Afridi.

In a video, posted by the Pakistan Cricket on their official Twitter handle, Indian players Yuzvendra Chahal, Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli can be seen talking to Shaheen Afridi, who was ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 due to a knee injury he sustained during the Sri Lanka Tests.

India and Pakistan are placed in the Group A and will begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign against each other on August 28. Hongkong is the third team in the Group A as they defeated UAE in the qualifier on Wednesday to become the sixth and the final team in the tournament.
