The Memphis Grizzlies pulled off a dominant blowout victory against Golden State Warriors to avoid elimination in the playoffs. Grind City registered a 134-95 win without their star Ja Morant who has been sidelined with a knee injury.

But the 2021-22 MIP award winner made his presence felt from the courtside. Morant was seen imitating GSW guard Steph Curry’s iconic celebration of counting the number of free throws after being fouled while shooting when one of the Memphis players was fouled.

Like the 2021-22 regular season, the Grizzlies played incredibly well without Morant as they have a record of 20 wins and five losses. Desmond Bane had a great game as he scored 21 points and expressed his elation with the team’s incredible performance.

“We’ve exceeded expectations ever since I’ve been here,” Bane said. “It almost seems whenever someone thinks we can’t do something, we end up doing it. So I never want to put a limit on this team on what we can do because anything's possible.”

Similarly, Jaren Jackson Junior also had an amazing game where he dropped 21 points and talked about the team’s morale in this win. He said, “We knew what was at stake. We didn’t change anything, though. We just calmed down, looked at the film, understand what we had to take away from the last game and just went out there and executed.”

GSW forward Klay Thompson was dejected by the defeat and said, “It was awful. It was embarrassing from the opening tip. We didn’t have great flow. They were more aggressive than us, reflecting their 30 free throws to our 13.”
