The ongoing European Cricket League T10 2023 saw a thriller when CIYMS and Dreux locked horns in the Qualifier 1 at the Cartama Oval on March 24 (Friday). The CIYMS won the toss and opted to bat first. In their 10 over, the side posted 125 for Dreux to chase.
While Dreux clinched the match in 9.2, making their way to the finals of this edition of the ECS T10 tournament. What caught attention during this match was a brilliant fielding effort at the boundary rope. In the fourth over of the second innings, Ahmad Nabi who was looking in sublime form had to depart after scoring 28 runs.
Jason van der Merve and Jacob Mulder, one of who was stationed at deep mid-wicket completed a relay catch to dismiss the in-form batter. To explain further, the fielder dived to take the catch but released the ball as he was near the boundary rope which the other collected to complete a clean catch.

It is to be noted that the European Cricket League is known for some entertaining on-field cricket moments. This was just one of the many which have grabbed limelight over the course of the league.
