Trinbago Knight Riders Women spinner Jess Jonassen came up with a unique celebration after taking the wicket Aaliyah Alleyne in the second match of the 2024 Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) against Barbados Royals Women at Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago on August 23rd. The left-arm spinner replicated the iconic open arms pose by the Indian Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.
Jess Jonassen bowled an unplayable delivery to Alleyne to which the Barbados Royals Women batter found no answer and the ball ended up hitting the stumps. As soon as the wicket was fallen, Jonassen expanded her arms in the air, replicating the iconic pose of her franchise owner and a renowned Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan who has been doing this pose throughout his acting career.
Jonassen was impressive with the ball in the last match with the figures of 2/21 but couldn’t take her team to the finishing line as Barbados Royals Women defeated Trinbago Knight Riders Women by seven wickets.
