On the latest episode of WWE Raw from Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, “Main Event” Jey Uso won the Intercontinental Championship after defeating Bron Breakker in the hard-fought match in the build-up to the highly anticipated Bad Blood PLE next month. This is the first-ever singles championship during the illustrious WWE career of Jey Uso after losing multiple times in the singles championships matches due to outside interference in the past few months.
In the main event of Monday Night Raw, Jey Uso finally got the chance to put his hands on Bron Breakker, who tried to get under his skin in the last couple of weeks, ahead of their Intercontinental Championship match. The match began with a lariat from Breakker taking down the challenger before Uso connected with a suicide dive off the ropes, to put the champion down for the count.
Jey Uso pinned Bron Breakker for the first-time in his WWE career
After Bron Breakker nailed Jey Uso with powerslam from the corner, the challenger hit him with a backbreaker, which made the champion do a pushup out of the kickout. Breakker managed to land a bulldog off the apron on Uso before sending him into the announcer's desk, to gain the ascendency in the Intercontinental Championship match.
Following a lot of near fall attempts, in the closing stage of the highly physical battle, Jey Uso countered Bron Breakker’s attempt at the spear with a superkick before hitting a couple of spears of his own through the barricade and inside the ring. Following that, Jey Uso nailed Bron Breakker with a diving splash before pinning him 1-2-3, to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the first-time in his career.
While holding the Intercontinental Championship title in his hands, Jey Uso celebrated his success with the capacity crowd at the Toyota Arena, delivering his trademark “Yeet” to close out the show.
