With the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) already giving some last ball thrillers, the second double header will see Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans host Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad. All these four teams will aim to begin their IPL 2024 on a high, aiming to register their maiden win of the season.

As Jaipur hosts the first match of the season with the Sanju Samson-led RR taking on KL Rahul’s LSG, England and RR batter Jos Buttler was seen showcasing his flair. In one of the net sessions ahead of RR’s tournament opener, Buttler was spotted emulating MS Dhoni’s trademark helicopter shot. In the viral video, Buttler’s playful attempt of the Dhoni’s signature has added some excitement among fans and the teammates alike.

Not only this, the franchise also took to X to share the video of this captivating moment, captioning the post, “Buttler has 7 letters….”

The Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals finished sixth in IPL 2023, having won seven games and losing as many. The England wicketkeeper-batter on the other hand finished at 18th place in the list of top run scorers with 392 runs from 14 innings at an average of 28.00 and strike rate of 139.00.

Speaking of RR, the champions of the inaugural edition will take on LSG in the tournament opener on March 24 in Jaipur. They will then host Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals on March 28 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, before travelling to Mumbai to take on Mumbai Indians on April 1.
