Mohammed Siraj replaced Jasprith Bumrah in the third ODI against England and instantly made his impact. Siraj dismissed Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root in his first over. But even after this, the Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer continued raining terror as he hit England captain Jos Buttler on his helmet twice in an over.

In the 19th over, Siraj bowled a short ball that hit Buttler straight on the helmet as he missed the pull shot. The physios rushed on the field to take a look at him as per protocol and signalled that he was okay.

A couple of balls later Siraj once again hit Buttler on the helmet but this time both the players had smiles on their faces as the physio paid another visit. The Hyderabad-born once again presented a sharp short ball, that rose up on Buttler and hit the helmet. The ball then ricocheted towards the backward point.

Before the England tour, Mohammed Siraj wasn't in the best of form during the IPL. Hence he was excited to play in England and get back into his rhythm. Speaking to PTI before travelling to England, he said, "This year was a bad phase for me but I will make a strong comeback by working hard. I will work on my ability, believe in my strengths," he added.

"My preparations are going well for the Test. There in England, the Dukes' ball is used, it is always good to bowl there in the English conditions and it is helpful for the bowlers," the Hyderabad-born pacer added.
