On Sunday, February 2, Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India continued their domination over England as they clinched the five-match T20I series by 4-1 margin at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Coming into the final match of the series in Mumbai with a 3-1 series win, led on Abhishek Sharma’s second fastest hundred in T20I in men’s cricket, India registered a comfortable 150-run win over the Three Lions.
On the contrary, the match also saw the England white-ball skipper take a sly dig at the Indian team following the concussion substitute controversy that had emerged in the fourth T20I in Pune. It is to be noted that India’s specialist pacer Harshit Rana picked up his debut T20I wicket after replaciing Shivam Dube as a concussion substitute after the latter was hit on the helmet by a short delivery from Jamie Overton.
Jos Buttler takes sarcastic dig at Team India at toss in fifth T20I
Although, the sudden move of bringing in Harshit Rana in place of Shivam Dube got several eyeballs, the England skipper also did not stay behind as he named four impact subs at toss in the fifth and final T20I in Mumbai. Speaking about the team changes at toss, Buttler confirmed one change and four impact subs.
"Yeah we did, we played good cricket in patches. We are trying to enforce the style of play, we want to and win crucial moments in the game,” Buttler began. "Yeah, good vibe around the team. This is a good venue to play cricket in any format. It is usually a good wicket. We are going to chase. We got one change, Mark Wood comes in and four impact subs are Rehan Ahmed, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Smith, Gus Atkinson," he continued.

Although, it remains unsure if it was an intentional take from Buttler as the impact substitutes are usually named in the Indian Premier League, which is still months away from start. However, the England T20I series have come to an end, the two sides will now lock horns in a three-match ODI series, starting from February 6.
While the first ODI is scheduled to be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday, February 6, followed by a match in Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on February 9 and Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 12.
