Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov didn’t have a great experience on his flight with Frontier airlines as he was removed from the flight after an alleged altercation with the flight attendant over bad english. Notably, seated near an emergency exit gate, Khabib was asked if he would be able to assist other passengers in case of an emergency, which is a basic requirement for exit row passengers.

However, Khabib Nurmagomedov assured the flight staff that he would be able to assist others in case of an emergency but was still treated poorly by the staff. As quoted in a viral video, the flight attendant can be heard saying, “We cannot allow you to sit in the exit row... I’m not going to do this back and forth. I’ll go call a supervisor. You can either take a different seat or we can escort you off the plane." Khabib also wasn’t happy with the reply and said “It’s not fair.” Later the former MMA champions was escorted of the flight.

I did my best to stay calm and respectful: Khabib Nurmagomedov shares his reply after getting escorted out from the flight

Khabib Nurmagomedev also took to social media to clarify the controversy and revealed how the flight attendant was being rude to him over his bad english. He also said that he had to board another flight to reach his destination after getting escorted out.

“First of all, I need to clarify that it was @FlyFrontier not AlaskaAir.Lady who comes to me with questions was very rude from the very beginning, even though I speak very decent English and can understand everything and agreed to assist, she still insists on removing me from my seat. What was the base for that, racial, national or other one, I'm not sure,” Khabib wrote on his social media. “But after 2 minutes of conversation, she called security and I was deplaned from this aircraft, after 1,5 hour I boarded another airline one and left to my destination.”

“I did my best to stay calm and respecttul as you can see on the video. But those crew members could do better next time and just be nice with clients.,” he further added.
