The West Indies and Scotland fixture ended as a massive upset where the Scots registered a massive 42-run win over the two-time World Cup winners. But the match also brought cricket fans a hilarious moment that has gone viral on the internet. The incident took place at the end of the 13th over of the Scottish innings.

As over concluded and West Indian players were changing ends, the camera panned towards the crowd where a young boy was seen tumbling over the elevated fence and falling over the gap between the stands and boundary. The moment got even funnier as the child’s father ran behind him and jumped over the fence to rescue the boy.

Talking about the game, Scotland was invited to bat and got off to a strong start with openers Michael Jones and George Munsey putting up a 50-run stand in the powerplay. Jones got out early but Munsey built on this start and ended up with a score of 66 in 53 balls. He hit nine boundaries in his knock as he batted with a strike rate of 124.53.

After this partnership, the Scots suffered a minis-collapse but soon recovered to put up a formidable 160-run total. Then in the second innings, the West Indian could replicate the Scottish start. They lost wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 69 for 5 at the 10-over mark. Scotland tightened their grip on the game and bundled out the Windies for 118 in 18 overs. Mark Watt was the top performer with the ball as he picked up three wickets while giving just 12 runs.
