The Caribbean Premier League 2021 is giving the cricket lovers some major goals to watch the tournament. One such incident occurred in Match no. 9 of CPL between Trinbago Knight Riders and St Lucia Kings. The incident involved TKR skipper Kieron Pollard while batting in the penultimate overs of the innings.

Kieron Pollard silences the decision in unique style

In the penultimate over of the innings which was bowled by Wahab Riaz saw 10 deliveries being bowled. Out of these one such delivery which Tim Seifert faced was way outside the wide line. The Kiwi wicketkeeper missed the delivery despite a full stretch. To much surprise, that delivery was adjudged legal by the umpire standing at the non-striker’s end near TKR skipper Kieron Pollard.

After giving four wides already in that over, this happened to be the fifth one for Wahab Riaz. Instead of getting into an argument after having a small chat with the umpire on this decision, Pollard moved close to 20 yards away from the umpire. He made this decision to voice his protest on the same incident.

However, Pollard and Tim Siefert’s 78-run partnership helped the side post 158-7 on board for the Riders after being asked to bat first by St Lucia Kings. St Lucia Kings had their chances at times but fell short by 27 runs while chasing the target of 159.
