Indian batter KL Rahul got hit on his finger during net session ahead of Boxing Day Test, sparking injury concerns among fans and pundits alike. Notably, the Indian cricket team began their preparations for the highly-anticiapted Boxing Day Test, which is set to begin on December 26. The five-match Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is currently underway on the land Down Under. The opening game of the series saw India clinching a sound win, which was followed by Australia’s remarkable comeback in Adelaide. The third game of the series played at The Gabba ended in a draw, with the current tally reading 1-1. 

Both teams are aiming to extend their lead further, and hence, the visitors have already started to sweat it out in nets. However, with less than a week remaining for the series, the guests might have faced an injury blow. On Saturday, December 21, a video started doing rounds on social media, sparking speculations of a potential injury scare involving star batter KL Rahul. 

KL Rahul gets injured? Viral video sparks concerns

In a video doing rounds on social media, Rahul was seen receiving medical attention to his right arm during a net session in Melbourne. As per reports, the batter was hit on his fingers while batting in the nets on Saturday. While there has been no official statement regarding the severity of the injury, the Gautam Gambhir-led management is hoping it will not affect his participation in the forthcoming Test, which will have an impact on India’s WTC Final 2025 qualification scenario. 

Notably, the opening batter has bounced back outstandingly after challenging home series against New Zealand. In the Gabba Test, the batter played a crucial knock of 84 runs, which played a crucial role for the two-time WTC finalists.
