One of the most prestigious races in the world, Le Mans, is happening this weekend, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans is considered as the ultimate test of endurance, and it isn’t surprising that it is attended by several big names. The race witnessed several big names in attendance as it was flagged off by NBA star LeBron James.
As the American basketball player was seen waving the starting flag for the race, James was also seen dusting off his French skills to say “Pilotes démarrez vos moteurs (Pilots start your engine),” indicating the drivers to start their engines. Other than James, the race also had the former football quarterback, Tom Brady, who is a car and speed enthusiast. However, the 45-year-old wasn’t attending the race as an attendant. In fact, Brady was there as a sponsor for Hertz team Jota through his Brady brand.

NFL legend Tom Brady also attended the event and posted some pictures with the Hertz team on his Instagrma handle. He wrote, "Look I was never known for my speed, couldn't outrun nose tackles, so I came out to Le Mans to try another sport and see what it feels like to pass someone. I'm still hiding in the back of the garage, gonna try to slip into the car at the next stop. If you see this beauty upside down you know who's fault it was."
Apart from them, another big name that was spotted in the race was Ferrari’s F1 driver Charles LeClerc, who was there to support the Italian automaker. Ferrari is returning to the race after 50 years in 2023.
Le Mans 24 Hours is one of the oldest active endurance racing events and is held annually in Le Mans in France. The race is won by the car that covers the maximum distance in 24 hours.
