Since arriving in the United States of America ahead of his Inter Miami unveiling, Lionel Messi has appeared in several viral videos from the country. The fans are following the Argentine world cup winner everywhere from grocery shopping to the streets in Miami. Recently, the 36-year-old appeared to run a red light while driving in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Friday and the videos have gone viral on social media.
Fans are excited about the Argentine's arrival in the Major League Soccer and are not losing a single opportunity to meet their idol. During a TyC Sports broadcast, Messi was spotted leaving the Inter Miami training facilities in a luxurious white SUV. While the Inter Miami star was escorted by police in front and behind, a fan approached Messi's moving car. The fan seemingly distracted Messi, who ran the red light signal and narrowly avoided a car accident at the intersection.
Fortunately, the football star avoided a horror clash with a fellow driver. However, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner will not face any legal action as he was escorted by the police and it was the other driver's mistake who didn't slow down despite the police vehicle's siren.
