Former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez is experiencing a good form so far in the Uruguayan Primera Division. On Sunday's game against Penarol, Luis Suarez scored an absolute stunner from outside the box as Nacional won the Uruguayan Clasico by 3-1 at the Estadio Gran Parque Central.

Both Nacional and Penarol are the most successful clubs in the Uruguayan league's history and their clash is considered Uruguay's biggest fixture. In the 52nd minute of Sunday's Clasico, Nacional were awarded a throw-in at Penarol's half which turned into a beautiful long-range effort by Suarez. Former Liverpool striker scored in the top corner to give a 2-0 lead to his team.

Apart from Luis Suarez, Mathias Laborda and Camilo Candido found the back of the net in 45+1' and 75' respectively while Penarol's Kevin Mendez scored the only goal for the visitors after the one-hour mark into the match.

In his last five appearances for Nacional, the 35-year-old striker scored three goals and provided an assist to help his team maintain an unbeaten record in the league. Nacional are currently leading Group Intermedio B with six wins in seven games.
