Lucknow Super Giants have started really well against Mumbai Indians in Match 27 of IPL 2022. After being put in to bat first, the new entrants got off to a blistering start as Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul stitched a half-century stand within the first six overs. Even after de Kock got out, runs kept coming for LSG.

KL Rahul bettered his record against MI as he notched up his 29th fifty in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While Rahul was holding one end intact, batters at the other end were taking care of the boundaries. After de Kock fell, it was Manish Pandey who was finding timely boundaries. After Manish Pandey left the field, it was Marcu Stoinis' turn to go bonkers.

And the LSG all-rounder did not disappoint at all. He hit a monstrous six right on the first ball he faced in the innings. On the third delivery of the 14th over, M Ashwin fed Stoinis a googly which the batsmen dispatched into the long-on stands for a 104-meters six. After nailing the maximum, Stoinis pointed towards his girlfriend who was seen cheering at the shot in the stands.
