During the 8th match of the Legend 90 League 2025, former New Zealand cricketer Martin Guptill scored a sensational hundred in double quick-time for Chhattisgarh Warriors against Big Boys Unikari. At the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, the 38-year-old smashed the Big Boys Unikari bowlers to the cleaners, to end up scoring an unbeaten 160 in just 49 balls with 12 fours and 16 sixes, which helped his team win the match by 89 runs.

After the captain of Chhattisgarh Warriors won the toss and chose to bat first, Martin Guptill walked out to the middle with former Indian cricketer Rishi Dhawan in front of a few thousand fans in attendance in Raipur. These two batters matched each other stroke-for-stroke before the former New Zealand batter went into overdrive during their unbeaten opening stand of 240 runs in their allotted 15 overs, which was certainly a total well above par.

Martin Guptill powered Chhattisgarh Warriors to top of Legend 90 League standings

While Rishi Dhawan scored an unbeaten 76 in 42 balls with seven fours and four sixes, Martin Guptill got more than double the runs and boundaries when compared to his Chhattisgarh Warriors’ compatriot. The right-handed batter was severe on any and all lengths and lines from the pacers and spinners of Big Boys Unikari at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.

In response, the batting lineup of Big Boys Unikari tried hard to overhaul the 241-run target, but it was more than a bridge too far despite an unbeaten fifty from Robin Bist. Manan Sharma was sensational with the ball for Chhattisgarh Warriors with figures of 2/19 in his three-over spell, while the likes of Abhimanyu Mithum and Kalim Khan picked up a wicket each, conceding runs below 10 per over.

Because of this massive win in the Legend 90 League, Chhattisgarh Warriors are on top of the table with three wins in three matches in the tournament.
