Babar Azam-led Pakistan side are getting ready to face arch-rivals India in their T20 World Cup opener. But ahead of this, both the sides are practicing in the nets to field their best XI on the D-day. The two sides will face each other on October 23 in Melbourne to begin their respective campaign.

But before this, the Men in Green engaged in a fun competition in Brisbane. Pakistan mentor, former Australia cricketer Matthew Hayden gave Pakistan pacers Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jr a throw challenge. He offered the fast-bowling  duo a hundred  dollars if they are able to throw the ball outside the park.

The 21-year-old pacer (Wasim Jr), who was confident that he could throw the ball outside the stadium, gave the first shot. He took a small run-up and launched the ball but failed to reach the ultimate goal, thus losing the challenge.

Naseem Shah along with a few others from the coaching staff laughed as Wasim failed to fulfil the challenge.

Talking about Pakistan’s performance so far, the side came confident after winning the tri-series against New Zealand and Bangladesh but could not cross the line in their first warm-up match in the build-up  to the T20 World Cup. While they lost to England by 6 wickets by DLS method, their second practice match against Afghanistan was called off after rain played a spoilsport.
