Bizarre incidents not only take place in the game of cricket but  are equally prevalent in other sports as well. One such incident took place in a tennis tournament recently where a Swedish player was involved.

 

In videos going viral, World 53 ranked Swedish tennis player Mikael Ymer was disqualified from a tennis tournament after he was seen smashing his racket on the umpire’s chair. This incident took place over an argument on line call in a match between Ymer and Arthur Fils of France at the Lyon Open.

 

The 53-ranked player got into an argument with the umpire saying that he did not even check before taking a call whether the ball was inside or not which had caused a point to the Swede. “Why are you checking the mark? Are you telling me you’re not even going to come down and check the mark,” Ymer was caught saying to the chair umpire.

Although after the argument the players resumed the game but with Fils winning the opening set 6-5, the Swede broke his racket smashing on the umpire’s chair and further threw the handle on the court. After brief discussions with the chair umpire and other officials, Ymer was handed disqualification.
