During the first Test of the two-match series between hosts Pakistan and West Indies in Multan, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan trolled opposition batter Kevin Sinclair on his arrival at the crease during his team’s first innings on day two. On a pitch tailor-made for the spin bowlers at the Multan Cricket Stadium, where the batting has been getting increasingly difficult as the Test match is progressing, Rizwan made sure Sinclair knew about it by saying, “Yeah brother come to the graveyard.”
The moment happened during the first innings of West Indies after they had bowled out Pakistan for 230 runs in the early stages of day two. In the 12th over of the West Indies batting effort, when they were 42/6, Kevin Sinclair made his way to the middle, and just as he approached the popping crease, Mohammed Rizwan had some choice words for him from behind the stumps about how difficult his stay at the crease is going to be.

Pakistan beat West Indies by 127 runs in first Test in Multan
Kevin Sinclair was eventually dismissed for 11 runs in 17 balls with one four on the bowling of Noman Ali, who picked up a five-wicket haul in the West Indies first innings, to bowl them out for just 137 runs in 25.2 overs. After taking a first innings lead of 93 runs, Pakistan batters didn’t have it any easier on the Multan pitch assisting the spinners as they rolled over for 157 runs in 46.4 overs in their second innings after Jomel Warrican took a seven-wicket haul and claimed a 10-fer in the match.
In pursuit of a difficult target of 251 runs on an increasingly difficult pitch for batting against quality spin, West Indies never looked like in the run chase as they lost wickets at regular intervals throughout their innings. Alick Athanaze got himself past a fifty but Sajid Khan was the chief destroyer for Pakistan with the ball, taking yet another five-wicket haul at home this season, to ensure that West Indies were bowled out for 123 runs.
A big victory by 127 runs means that Pakistan have taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series with the second game set to be played at the same venue in Multan from January 25 onwards.
