Mohammed Siraj has been in sublime form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He leads the race of Purple Cap with 12 scalps from six innings so far. The star player was last seen in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s clash against Rajasthan Royals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 23.

In this match, Siraj was seen using some abusive words to Mahipal Lomror during RR’s 19th over. As RR reached near the target, Dhruv Jurel went for a second run and Siraj hurled abuses towards Lomror , who was placed in the long-on region as he fielded the ball. After this incident, the 29-year-old apologised to the southpaw. In a match review video posted on RCB’s handle, Siraj revealed that he has already apologised twice for the incident.

“I am so angry, man. Sorry. I have apologised to him twice already. I don’t carry the aggression off the field. It all calms down post the match,” Siraj said in the video. Mahipal Lomror accepted the apology gracefully and replied, “It’s alright Siraj bhai. Such small things keep happening in such big matches.”

Bangalore are now fifth in the table with eight points in seven matches just two points behind table-toppers Chennai Super Kings. Faf du Plessis and his men will face KKR on 26th April (Wednesday) at the M.Chinnaswamy stadium.
