Mohammed Shami, the India fast bowler, posted a video on his official X account, announcing that he will talk about his journey during the ODI World Cup 2023 on his YouTube channel. The 33-year-old is currently on the sidelines, not travelling to South Africa to play the Test series for India, due to an ankle injury.

The ODI World Cup 2023 campaign for Mohammed Shami was a rollercoaster ride, missing out on the first four matches of the tournament because the team management couldn’t find a place for him in the playing XI. After an injury to Hardik Pandya, the Indian fast bowler was given a spot in the Indian cricket team against New Zealand, and he didn’t look back after picking up a five-wicket haul at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
In the seven matches during the CWC 2023 campaign for India, Mohammed Shami picked up 24 wickets, at an average of 10.70 and an economy of 5.26 with three five-wicket hauls. He registered figures of 57/7 in the semi-final of the flagship tournament against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

During his recovery phase from the ankle injury, Mohammed Shami has been very active on social media, and this time, he sent out a video to reveal his intention about sharing his ODI World Cup 2023 journey. The Amroha-born cricketer shared the link to his YouTube channel for the cricket fans to subscribe to, while stating that he will also answer their questions about the sport and life in general.
