Chennai Super Kings (CSK) stand-in captain MS Dhoni was seen making efforts to meet a little fan of his at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on May 19. CSK will be seen in action against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 62nd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Chennai, who are at the bottom of the points table, will look to win their remaining matches to end their campaign on a positive note. In their previous encounter against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 7, the Yellow Army pulled off a two-wicket victory, riding on Dewald Brevis’ sensational 52 off 25.

A day before the upcoming game, MS Dhoni was seen in a vivacious mood. The 43-year-old jumped over the fence to meet his young supporter in the stands. In a heartwarming gesture, he shook hands and clicked pictures with the kid. Dhoni’s video is doing rounds on social media and the veteran’s supporters are appreciating him for his humility.

CSK will look to beat RR to avoid becoming the worst-performing team in IPL 2025

Chennai will endeavour to beat Rajasthan in the contest, set to be played in Delhi, to avoid becoming the most underperforming side in the tournament. Both CSK and RR have won three games but the latter has gained six points after playing 13 matches while Dhoni and his boys have earned six points after their 12 outings.

With this match, RR’s journey in IPL 2025 will end. The Men In Pink have earned the last spot in IPL only once in the history. Under Steven Smith’s leadership, RR ended the 2020 competition at the bottom of the points tally. Sanju Samson will look to lead the team from the front against CSK, to avoid the embarrassing record to his profile.
