The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is underway meaning thrilling cricketing action is on display. Breathtaking shots, sensational bowling spells, and acrobatic caches are normal in the PSL and Islamabad United’s Mubasir Khan proved it right during his team’s match against the Quetta Gladiators. The United fielder pulled off one of the most stunning catches in tournament history.

As the Gladiators’ captain played a swat towards square leg against Faheem Ashraf, he could not keep it down. Meanwhile, Khan, who was a couple of yards inside from the boundary rope, perfectly judged the height of the shot and leapt backwards to grab the ball. However, the jump was not the best part of that catch. Instead, how the fielder managed to keep his body inside the field of play despite the momentum taking him over the ropes was noteworthy.

The commentators and Khan’s teammates were in disbelief as the fielder completed the catch.

Talking about the Gladiators’ inning so far, they could not get the desired start as the team lost four wickets in no time. Will Smeed, Yasir Khan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Iftikhar Ahmed perished too early leaving the team in tatters. However, Mohammad Nawaz and Najibullah Zadran put their hands up and bailed the team out of trouble. The two batters scored half-centuries and formed a century stand. While Nawaz was dismissed after scoring a 44-ball 52, Zadran continued with the hitting.
