Brooklyn Nets traded Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns in February for Mikal Bridges on the transfer deadline day and the 10th overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2018 NBA draft has rightly lived up to the expectations.

During their Eastern Conference fixture against Miami, Brooklyn Nets, who are considered to qualify for the playoffs from the East, displayed spectacular performance, especially the 26-year-old Bridges. After registering his career-high 45 points (previous career-high 34 points), Bridges rushed towards his mother Tyneeha Rivers, who was in the attendance during the Wednesday's game, and gave her his match-worn jersey.

After his spectacular performance against the Heat, this was a heartwarming gesture from Bridges. Meanwhile, the Nets are scheduled to travel to the United Center to face DeMar DeRozan-led Chicago Bulls in their next NBA regular season fixture this season on Friday night.

Apart from Bridges, Cam Thomas and Cameron Johnson registered 19 and 18 points respectively in Nets' win over Heat. On the other hand, center Bam Adebayo led the Heat's scoring charts with 24 points and made 13 rebounds and six assists followed by Gabe Vincent and Max Strus with 21 and 18 points respectively.
