Philadelphia Union handed a frustrating defeat to New York Red Bulls in Sunday's Major League Soccer clash at the Red Bull Arena. During the last few minutes of the game, a disappointed Red Bulls midfielder Dru Yearwood kicked the ball into stands leaving a couple of fans injured.

New York fans were already having an unpleasant night by watching their team losing 2-0 to the MLS table toppers, Philadelphia Union but things went disastrous for Dru Yearwood in the concluding stage of Sunday's game.

After giving away a foul at the touchline, the annoyed Dru Yearwood kicked the ball into the Red Bull Arena stands, which caused injuries to fans. The midfielder rushed to console the fans but was denied by another fan as he was climbing towards the injured fan.  The 22-year-old midfielder was sent off after the incident as referee showed him a red card.

The MLS club New York Red Bulls and footballer Dru Yearwood released an statement each following the horrific incident. While the midfielder was apologetic in his statement, the club showed their concern over the safety of fans in the Arena.
