Newell's Old Boys hosted Godoy Cruz at the Estadio Marcelo Bielsa on Sunday in the  Argentine Primera División. Although the hosts lost the game, Newell's captain Pablo  Pérez scored a stunning bicycle kick goal from outside the box, which can appear among the nominees to win the FIFA Puskás Award this year.

Godoy Cruz won the game 1-2 as Old Boys were reduced to 10 men in the first 20 minutes of the Sunday's game after Guillermo Balzi received a red card. Godoy Cruz scored the first goal of the match with Martin Ojeda's first minute strike. Matias Ramirez scored the winner for his team in the 74th minute.

However, Newell's captain Pablo Pérez equalized Godoy Cruz in the 10th minute with an incredible volley from outside the box. Tomás Jacob crossed the ball from the right wing to find Pablo, who hit a stunning bicycle kick to score the only goal for the home team in their 16th league fixture.

After the match, Godoy Cruz climbed to the fourth position with eight wins in the league standings while Newell's Old Boys are dropped to the 13th place with five wins and six losses. Meanwhile, Atletico Tucuman are on the top of the points table with nine wins in 15 games.
