CWG 2022 Gold medallists Nikhat Zareen and Mirabhai Chanu are set to feature in upcoming episodes of the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 14. Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won India's first gold at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in the women's 49kg weightlifting category, while world champion boxer Nikhat Zareen outpunched Ireland's Carly McNaul by unanimous decision in the final to win her maiden CWG Gold medal in women's 50kg flyweight category.

The newly released promo of the quiz show shows Gold-medallist boxer Nikhat Zareen getting emotional while speaking of her father's journey and crediting her for her historic success. While chatting with veteran Bollywood actor and the host of popular show Amitabh Bachchan, Nikhat shared how her father struggled during her initial playing days to make ends meet but still provided her with all the necessary training.

When Big B asked her about whom she would like to credit for her victory, Nikhat said, "I have fought the battle inside ring, but my father had fought in real life. I used to feel really sad seeing the struggle of my father. If someone really deserves the credit for my success, its my father," said Nikhat.

The Indian woman boxer went on to invite her parents on stage and put her medal around her father's neck and said, 'he deserves it more than me.'

Even the Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan got emotional after listening to the story of Nikhat Zareen. In another promo, Mr. Bachchan invited both the athletes by saying, "Angrezo ke desh me, jo humpe hukumat kia karte they, waha jakar aapne Bharat ka jhanda gaadh dia (You girls hoisted the tricolour in England which used to rule us at one time). As Nikhat arrived, she said that it was the biggest achievement for her.

Zareen further revealed that she is a big admirer of boxing legend Muhammad Ali and informed that she is a big fan of Ali's shuffle footwork. Big B later praised the greatest boxer and also talks about the time he met him in Los Angeles. Notably, the show featuring Nikhat Zareen and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu will stream on September 5 (Monday) on Sony Entertainment Television.
