Since Denver Nuggets' five-game NBA Finals victory over the Miami Heat on Monday night, the Nuggets' star, Nikola Jokic has been unable to locate his Bill Russell Award. The 6-foot-11 Serbian recalls leaving the trophy in the trainer's room after getting it with his 1-year-old daughter Ognjena, but he has no further memory of its location.

Jokic stated that he lost his Bill Russell trophy, given to the NBA Finals MVP, and he has no idea where it went in an interview with Malika Andrews on Wednesday. 'I gotta tell you, I’ve done a couple of these NBA Finals MVP interviews, and you’re the first one to come in without the trophy," Andrews told Jokić. To which Jokic candidly replied, "I really don't know. I left it in Sparky's room and it's not there anymore. So I don't know, but hopefully, it can arrive at my house."

Fortunately, the plot has a happy ending, just like many other elements of the Nuggets' season. Gonzales will have the trophy ready for the Nuggets' title parade on Thursday, according to a later report from Andrews.

For what it's worth, during the postgame festivities, Joki didn't exactly show the highest commitment to the Finals MVP trophy. Jokic left the trophy there while leaving to visit his family, as many people observed, and at one time Nuggets guard Bruce Brown appeared to carry it on the stage.

The Denver Nuggets player secured unanimous Finals MVP honors after averaging 30.2 points, 14.0 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.4 blocks while shooting 58.3% from the field and 42.1% from 3-point range against the Miami Heat in the 2023 NBA Finals. While Denver won their first-ever NBA championship, the victory sealed the Nuggets star's legacy-sealing playoff run.
