Oregon Lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson and his teammates celebrated a touchdown that couldn't count in the end. Oregon locked horns with Washington in the Pac-12 Championship Game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. The incident occurred when the Oregon were trailing 20-17 in the third quarter.
When the Ducks were facing 1st-and-10 at Washinton’s 11-yard line, two minutes before the end of the quarter, the Oregon quarterback Bo Nix rushed up the middle and fell on his knees. Nix lost the grip of the ball as he hit the ground, which led to a Powers-Johnson scoop and score.

Johnson and his teammates started to celebrate what they had initially thought to be a go-ahead touchdown. The 20-year-old yelled the famous ‘Are you not entertained?’ dialogue, while imitating Russell Crow, from the famous movie ‘Gladiator’? However, the touchdown didn’t count as the quarterback was deemed down before he lost the grip of the ball.
The game saw No. 3 Huskies bouncing back from a 21-point run by the No. 5 seeded Ducks to secure a 34-31 win. With this victory, the Huskies have booked themselves a spot in the final of the College Football Playoff. Initially, the Huskies led the game 20-3 with less than two minutes to go in the first half. However, Oregon then secured 21 consecutive points to take a 24-20 lead. Later, Dillon Johnson’s one-yard TD helped his side win the game.
