The fourth Test between Indian and Australia kick started at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 9 (Thursday). The Day 1 of the ongoing Test had a special start as the players of India and Australia were joined by the two countries Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Anthony Albanese.

In the latest video doing rounds on social media, PM Modi presented a special cap to Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, while the Australian PM presented a cap to the stand-in Aussie skipper Steven Smith ahead of the start of the match.

The two Prime Minister’s also took a ride around the stadium emphasizing 75 years of friendship between the two countries. The two leaders of the respective countries also joined the players in the middle as they were introduced by their skippers and joined the teams for the national anthems.

Talking about the match, Australia won the toss and opted to bat first. In the opening hour of the 4 th Test, the visitors have crossed the 50-run mark in 14 overs with Travis Head at 31 off 39 balls and Usman Khawaja scoring 46-ball 14. India currently leads the series 2-1 and will aim to seal the final Test match to confirm their World Test Championship berth.
