The 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League has come down to the final showdown as defending champions Gujarat Titans will lock horns with four-time champions Chennai Super Kings on May 28 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Out of the ten teams, Delhi Capitals was the first team to get knocked out of the tournament as they were beaten by PBKS by 31 runs in a one-sided encounter.
However, the David Warner-led side did not have the perfect start to the tournament, they showed some hope in the mid-season after some brilliant wins over a few teams. Although they juggled between the ninth and tenth spot, finally ending the season with a ninth spot finish with five wins and nine losses in 14 games.
For the Capitals it was alone David Warner who stood on most of the occasions. Indian batter Prithvi Shaw was another DC player who added 105 runs in the eight inning he featured for DC, ending the season with the highest score of 54 which came in his team’s losing cause against Punjab Kings. However, the season might have ended for him, the DC batter recently grabbed limelight for his first public appearance with rumoured girlfriend Nidhi Tapadia. The rumoured couple were seen together walking the red carpet for the IIFA 2023, video of which is now going viral on social media.
The two aced in a complete all-black look as the IIFA ceremony. It is also to be noted that Shaw did a special celebration after he scored his first half-century in the IPL 2023. He gestured ‘N’ towards the Indian actress and model.
