India’s ace shuttler PV Sindhu is not particpating in the National Games but she was present for the opening ceremony of the event. The shuttler also took part in the Navratri festivities in Gujarat. A day after Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra’s video of doing garba went viral, PV Sindhu was also captured showing her dancing skills in a Garba event in Vadodra.

Sindhu along with shuttler Tripti Murgunde and former athlete Anju Bobby George, were seen grooving to Garba beats.

Sindhu tweeted a video of her enjoying GARBA and wrote, “When in Ahmedabad during Navratri, dance! Just go for it. What fun. #GarbaNight”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 36th National Games at a grand Opening Ceremony at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday. The Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports Anurag Thakur and other dignitaries will also attend the opening ceremony.

National Games are being held Gujarat for the very first time. It will be organised from 29th September to 12th October 2022. Around 7000 athletes are participating in the event.
