Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) skipper Rajat Patidar, accompanied by his wife and kid, offered prayers at the iconic Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. Patidar visited the temple in June as well, after guiding RCB to their maiden title triumph. Patidar went into record books after leading Bengaluru to their first Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy win. He became the first India player to guide an IPL side to title victory as captain without playing an T20I game. Besides that, he also entered the list of IPL-winning captains and joined elites such as Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist, MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, David Warner, and Rohit Sharma.

In a video going viral on social media, Patidar can be seen joining his hands and sitting in the temple premises with his wife Gunjan Patidar and kid. After the IPL 2025 final win at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Patidar was seen celebrating the success with Gunjan.

Rajat Patidar looked decent with his bat in IPL 2025, scoring 312 runs in 14 innings of 15 matches at a strike rate of 143.77. In February, this year, he was appointed the skipper of RCB and handling his responsibility exceptionally, he guided the side to the historic victory. With this feat, he surpassed Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Daniel Vettori, and Virat Kohli, who couldn’t hand Challengers the coveted trophy as captains.

Talking about Patidar’s international numbers, he has played four matches (three Tests and one One Day Internationals) for Team India, in which he has amassed 85 runs. His last international appearance came against England in a Test game played in Ranchi in February 2024, while his previous 50-over match was against South Africa in Paarl in December 2023. After the sensational IPL season, he will look to be at his best for Madhya Pradesh in the upcoming domestic season.
