Royal Challengers Bangalore Women’s skipper Smriti Mandhana gave UP Warriorz all-rounder Deepti Sharma a taste of her medicine during her marvelous innings on Monday night. The incident happened in the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore Women and UP Warriorz on March 4, 2024, when Deepti Sharma refused to throw the ball despite being ready to go further.
It was in the Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma’s over when she didn’t throw the ball intentionally even after completing her run-up to restrict the momentum in which Smriti was batting. Bewildered by the move, the 27-year-old gave Deepti “a taste of her own medicine” when she refused to play the next ball just when the off-break bowler was ready to leave the ball.
After her reply, the dugout of the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women couldn’t restrict themselves to enjoying the small banter between two Indian women cricketers. RCBW opener Sophie Devine, all-rounder Sophie Molineux, bowler Georgia Wareham and Kate Cross alongside support staff were seen having a funny moment after Smriti’s classic reply.
