After making a disheartening and defeating start to this season of the Indian Premier League, the Delhi-based franchise will now clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 20 of the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. DC hasn’t been able to open their winning account in the season yet, and they will take up the field with the intent to change their fortunes. Ahead of their upcoming clash, the Delhi team was seen practising and preparing in Bengaluru and was paid a visit by Rishabh Pant.

Pant isn’t a part of the ongoing season of the tournament as he is currently undergoing rehabilitation and recovery following a road accident in December last year. He was ruled out of the tournament, and David Warner took the hold of the team in Pant’s absence. Pant was seen talking and chatting with his fellow cricketers in the Delhi team and said that he is doing well and recovering well.

He said, “I’m good; recovering really well, better than what I’ve thought, and getting better every day.” On being asked how he feels being in the nets and meeting everyone, he replied, “I came here to be at the NCA, and the Delhi team happened to be here, so I decided to drop by and say hello to my friends and see how the practice is going on.”

Pant further added, “Really love being around the boys, and I especially missed that thing. But this is something I cannot control, and my heart and soul is always with Delhi.” Pant wished team Delhi good luck for their upcoming match against the Bengaluru-based franchise.

Pant was seen interacting with Axar Patel during his visit. When asked about their conversation, Pant said that he was advising Patel to not waste much energy in the nets.  The Delhi Capitals are looking forward to enduring their poor start of the season, where they lost all four of their matches.
