Roberto Firmino’s move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli after his three-year contract at Anfield expired. Firmino’s decision to leave Liverpool was made in March, earlier this year, which was just days before he scored in the historic 7-0 win against Manchester United. The 31-year-old was spotted clicking pictures with Saudi Arabian fans, soon after he arrived in the middle eastern country.
The Brazilian stepped out of his car after he saw hordes of fans waiting for him at the gate. Moments after he got down, the 31-year-old Brazilian was completely surrounded by fans on all sides as they struggled to click pictures with the Liverpool legend. The excitement in the eyes of the enthusiastic fans can be seen in the video.
Given how infrequently fans are able to get this close to their heroes, the player's level of security may be in doubt. It is safe to conclude that the supporters are ecstatic about his coming because they are shouting his name and fighting to get close to him. It was impossible to wipe the smile off Firmino's face as he savoured the moment to its fullness.

According to reports, his former teammate Sadio Mane could also be on his way to join Firmino at Al-Ahli. The Senegalese forward, who joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool in 2022, has had trouble adjusting there and may already be on the move. Two-thirds of the renowned Mané, Firmino, and Salah trio would be back together if he moves to Al-Ahli.
While playing at Liverpool for eight years, Firmino made 362 appearances, scored 111 goals, and won the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup. Firmino becomes one of the newest names to move to Saudi Arabia from Europe which includes the likes of huge names like Cristiano Ronaldo, N’golo Kante, Karim Benzema, and Steven Gerrard as a manager.
