The first 37 minutes of Champions League clash between FC Copenhagen and Manchester City had all the drama. From controversial VAR decision to penalty miss to red card, the first half of the game kept the fans on the edge of their seat. The game started in stunning fashion for Man City as midfielder Rodri scored a stunning goal from outside the box to put his side in the lead.

However, the sheer joy turned into disbelief when VAR disallowed the goal due to a handball in the build-up. Replays showed the ball appearing to brush the hand of Riyad Mahrez just moments before Rodri's goal.

VAR again intervened the game when City were awarded a penalty as it deemed home defender Nicolai Boilesen had handled in the box. However, Mahrez’s spot-kick was saved and the player was substituted later.

The VAR drama didn’t end there as City’s woes increased as Sergio Gomez received a red card which also awarded after a VAR check.
