India captain Rohit Sharma and batting stalwart Virat Kohli were seen sweating in a net session ahead of series opener against England, set to be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium on February 6, in Nagpur. Following the conclusion of the five-match T20I series, action is now going to shift to ODIs as both sides will look to be at their best, entering the Champions Trophy 2025 with confidence. In this series, eyes will be set on captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who have looked out of colour with their bats in recent times. Their roles will be crucial in the batting order again as they will be expected to fortify India’s top-order with their exceptional prowess and vast experience.
At the VCA Stadium, Kohli and Rohit were seen taking on the Indian bowlers in nets. The video posted by Team India through its social media handles shows both batting legends playing their favourite shots. The clip begins with two eminent players walking into the middle separately and later on hammering bowlers in style.

India will strive to start their campaign with victory in Nagpur before some blockbuster ODI action
With ODI cricket reigning for the next 33 days, Team India will look to have a positive start against England in Nagpur. The two-time World Cup champions will play their first ODI game after five months. The Rohit Sharma-led side will also back themselves to be dominating in the Champions Trophy to lift the coveted trophy after 12 years. Pakistan are the primary hosts of the marquee competition while India will play their games in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), starting from February 20 against Bangladesh.
